Summary: Seeking a Plastics Manufacturing Process Engineer to provide engineering support for extrusion operations and enhance process efficiency using Lean Manufacturing principles.

  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Plastics, Polymer, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field
    • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing with a focus on polymer processing and extrusion
    • Solid knowledge of polymer extrusion processes and downstream fabrication
    • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles and tools
    • Advanced computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD; Autodesk Inventor is a plus

  • Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with plastic injection molding

  • Responsibilities:

    • Provide daily engineering support for extrusion and downstream fabrication operations
    • Develop process control plans and ensure adherence to quality requirements
    • Apply statistical methods to improve process capability and product conformance
    • Collaborate with Maintenance teams on preventive maintenance schedules
    • Participate in kaizen initiatives to enhance quality, productivity, and safety
    • Lead projects utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles for operational efficiency improvement
    • Manage capital equipment purchases from proposal through installation and training
    • Design machinery, tools, fixtures using 3D solid modeling software


Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $125,000.00 per year
