Plastics Manufacturing Process Engineer
Summary: Seeking a Plastics Manufacturing Process Engineer to provide engineering support for extrusion operations and enhance process efficiency using Lean Manufacturing principles.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Plastics, Polymer, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing with a focus on polymer processing and extrusion
- Solid knowledge of polymer extrusion processes and downstream fabrication
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles and tools
- Advanced computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD; Autodesk Inventor is a plus
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with plastic injection molding
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily engineering support for extrusion and downstream fabrication operations
- Develop process control plans and ensure adherence to quality requirements
- Apply statistical methods to improve process capability and product conformance
- Collaborate with Maintenance teams on preventive maintenance schedules
- Participate in kaizen initiatives to enhance quality, productivity, and safety
- Lead projects utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles for operational efficiency improvement
- Manage capital equipment purchases from proposal through installation and training
- Design machinery, tools, fixtures using 3D solid modeling software
Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $125,000.00 per year
