Summary: Seeking a Buyer, Supplier Development to enhance supply chain value, manage procurement processes, and develop supplier performance and capabilities.

Job Requirements:

  • Two-year certificate from college, technical school, or military training.

  • Three years of related experience and/or training.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of MRP principles from a manufacturing standpoint with embedded levels/hierarchy.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement continuous improvement in supplier performance.

  • Develop close, collaborative relationships with suppliers.

  • Review requisitions and confer with vendors for product/service information.

  • Select products for purchase by testing or examining items; estimate market values.

  • Determine procurement methods such as direct purchase or bid.

  • Prepare purchase orders or bid requests; review bid proposals and negotiate contracts.

  • Maintain procurement records including costs, delivery, quality, and inventories.

  • Address issues with defective goods/services by coordinating with relevant personnel and vendors.

  • Approve invoices for payment; expedite delivery of goods to users.

  • Create preliminary Bill of Materials; secure and analyze quotations; negotiate prices/terms with suppliers.

  • Manage quotation process to ensure competitive pricing within requested time frames.

 

 

 

 



Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $105,000.00 per year
