Summary: Seeking an RF Technician experienced in RF tuning, testing, and troubleshooting of complex RF/microwave microelectronic assemblies.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate's degree from a technical school with 2 years of on-the-job training or 3 years of experience in RF microwave testing and tuning.

  • Knowledge of DC circuits and RF theory.

  • Experience with electronics and RF fundamentals (RF Gain, Gain Flatness, Return Loss, P1 dB Compression, etc.).

  • Familiarity with transmission line theory and AC/DC circuits.

Preferred Skills:

  • Computer literacy, proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and other software.

  • Good manual dexterity for microscope work.

  • Ability to read schematic diagrams and assembly drawings.

  • U.S. citizenship for government security clearance eligibility.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Test, tune, and troubleshoot complex RF/microwave microelectronic assemblies in a clean room.

  • Tune RF devices using various techniques (stubs, bond manipulation, resistance adjustment).

  • Focus on tuning for noise figure, VSWR/insertion loss, and gain.

  • Perform basic troubleshooting aiming to develop deeper troubleshooting skills.

  • Inspect units for correct bonding and identify RF shorts.

  • Locate problem areas such as driver board or RF side issues.

  • Understand assembly processes to identify shorts/opens in epoxy and bleed out.

  • Use a tack welder and various test equipment (Network Analyzer, Scaler, Oscilloscope) to ensure product quality.

  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to address production issues.

  • Engage in continuous product improvement initiatives.

  • Train and guide new technicians.

  • Maintain test fixtures for electrical testing.

  • Assist engineering with new test tools and provide support as needed.

  • Offer feedback for improvements in test documentation, equipment, and processes.

  • Ensure quality control, FOD control, and workspace cleanliness.



Pay Details: $38.00 to $45.00 per hour
