Project Engineer
Summary: Seeking an experienced Project Engineer to develop engineering design data and provide technical guidance within the aerospace industry, ensuring compliance with FAA standards and customer requirements.
Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related scientific field or acceptable industry experience.

Minimum of five years' experience in aircraft/aerospace engineering design, specifically with Transport Category aircraft.

Minimum of three years' experience with SolidWorks or similar 3-D software and AutoCAD (2004 or later version).

Knowledge of FAA regulations, certification processes, and requirements.

Comprehensive knowledge of standard aircraft components, materials, fabrication practices, aviation hardware, and their applications in design.

Proficiency in stress analysis, finite element modeling (FEM), 3D computer modeling, electrical load analyses, and other analytical substantiation techniques.

Extensive knowledge of personal computer systems including Microsoft Office & Microsoft Project.

Ability to effectively estimate, budget, schedule and forecast engineering tasks.

Familiarity with the use and application of aircraft technical data such as engineering drawings and various manuals (SRM's, MM's, SB's IPC's WD's).

Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally as required.
Preferred Skills:
-
Master's Degree in Engineering or MBA is preferred.

Experience in commercial aircraft interior payload design (integration) or avionics systems is preferred.

FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) credential or ability to establish DER candidacy within 12 months of hire.
Job Responsibilities:
-
Provide technical support, supervision, and guidance to engineering personnel across multiple disciplines for various engineering programs.

Conduct on-the-job training for Design Engineers and Engineering Designers.

Develop ZACS statements of work from limited customer specifications and conduct aircraft surveys.

Manage staffing estimates for projects undertaken by the Engineering Department coordinating with the Engineering Manager/Program Manager.

Review existing engineering data to determine efficient modification methods for aircraft structure or systems.

Produce design data necessary for manufacture, assembly, and installation of aircraft modifications/components.

Perform preliminary engineering analysis for substantiating aircraft modifications; interface with Substantiation group/FAA representatives to meet regulatory criteria.

Support design review meetings with customers; offer technical support during manufacturing/installation phases; supervise installations at remote locations.

Audit customer facilities to develop design concepts/specifications based on preliminary specifications/customer interactions.
Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
