Ensures quality systems, products, and processes meet internal, customer, and ISO 9001 requirements while improving quality in a precision machining environment.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 7+ years of experience in a machining facility, with precision machining preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Basic understanding of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming and processes.
  • Proficiency in advanced mathematics and statistics.
  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Understanding of production techniques and processes in a precision machine shop.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of firearms is a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with CMM and standard measuring equipment.
  • Experience with quality control plan development and statistical analysis.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and improve quality systems to meet internal, customer, and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Collaborate with design and process engineering, manufacturing, sales, customer service, and purchasing teams to resolve issues related to customer complaints, product design, materials, tooling, and production operations.
  • Create and maintain quality control plans incorporating statistical control, analyses, and reporting.
  • Maintain and enhance quality programs for conformity of purchased materials and components.
  • Establish quality procedures and guidelines for new products in collaboration with the engineering team.
  • Define and document inspection criteria, including inspection reports and procedures.
  • Implement QA procedures during pre-production and production phases.
  • Work with production supervisors to communicate and uphold quality requirements.
  • Prepare reports and maintain quality records.
  • Conduct internal audits and prepare audit reports.


Pay Details: $85,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
