Lead and contribute to the development, testing, and maintenance of scalable software solutions for U.S. Navy shipboard systems, ensuring compliance with DoD standards and regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in applications development.
  • Experience with .Net (C#, MVC), IIS Administration, and web development.
  • Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Hana).
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile), SDLC, and SSDLC.
  • Experience with software governance tools and practices.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity practices, including NIST Special Publication 800-53, CIS Benchmarks, and DoD Security Requirements Guides (SRG) and STIGs.
  • Experience with DevSecOps, CICD pipelines, and integrating across multiple applications and platforms (e.g., APIs, REST connectors).
  • Technical writing experience.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience and Six Sigma or LEAN training are desired.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and perform automated software testing, including verification and validation, to ensure functionality and compliance.
  • Plan, direct, and oversee subcontractor software development teams, ensuring adherence to DoD and federal regulations.
  • Create and review software documentation, design documents, and code for U.S. Navy projects in accordance with DoD standards.
  • Monitor software design, track deliveries from subcontractors, and address coding security vulnerabilities.
  • Independently resolve technical issues and implement scalable software solutions based on business requirements.
  • Plan, estimate, schedule, and monitor work progress, ensuring alignment with budget and schedule commitments.
  • Mentor and supervise 2-8 employees, including performance evaluation and training responsibilities.
  • Translate specifications into software while ensuring secure and efficient system integration.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Mentor and supervise team members, planning and directing their work.
  • Participate in hiring, training, and performance appraisal activities.
  • Address and resolve technical and developmental challenges within the team.


Pay Details: $70.00 to $80.00 per hour
