Summary: Seeking an Engineering Manager with aerospace machine shop experience to lead technical activities, process improvements, and team development.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field

  • Minimum ten years of industry experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role

  • Proficient in various design programs and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience with turning, milling, and EDM machines and their programming

  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and complex technical product knowledge

Preferred Skills:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience

  • Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously

Job Responsibilities:

  • Direct and monitor the technical activities of assigned engineers

  • Review and approve manufacturing processes

  • Ensure manufacturing processes meet customer requirements for quality and delivery

  • Lead Six Sigma projects, design experiments, VSM, and design review events for continuous improvement

  • Research, develop, and execute plans to meet business metric cost requirements

  • Resolve complex technical issues and conduct research as needed

  • Recommend alterations to product development for improved quality or producibility

  • Provide direction to create cost-effective manufacturing processes

  • Investigate machine tool needs to enhance manufacturing capabilities

  • Identify processing problems and initiate corrective actions

  • Support Program Managers with customer interface communications

  • Ensure completion of NPI Process Phase 3 and 4 tasks

  • Visit supplier plants to ensure compliance with company standards

  • Lead product/key characteristic audits as required by customers

  • Assist in training shop floor personnel as necessary

  • Develop market awareness initiatives

  • Train, coach, evaluate, and discipline employees as needed

  • Support EH&S requirements within the facility



Pay Details: $160,000.00 to $180,000.00 per year
