Technical Writer
Summary: Seeking a Technical Writer with expertise in XML, military standards compliance, and DoD technical publications development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience
- Experienced knowledge of XML
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint
- Ability to obtain interim Secret Clearance within 120 days if not currently held
- Experience supporting DoD programs
Preferred Skills:
- S1000D experience
- PTC Windchill experience
- Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline 360 experience
- Integrated Logistics Support experience
Responsibilities:
- Develop technical documentation using Arbortext Editor for publishing PDFs
- Tag XML documents for Army IADS IETM viewer or equivalent ETM/IETP
- Create US Army/DoD technical publications including RPSTL, DMWR, and IETMs
- Ensure compliance with MIL-STD-2361, MIL-STD-40051, and MIL-HDBK-1222 standards
- Collaborate on project documentation and deliverables to align with requirements
- Participate in peer reviews and validation events to ensure accuracy and compliance
Pay Details: $30.00 to $50.00 per hour
