Summary: Seeking a Sr Flight Operations Satellite Systems Engineer with expertise in satellite mission design, automated operations, and systems engineering.

Requirements:

  • BS degree required
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant practical experience
  • Experience in LEO/MEO satellite systems mission design and analyses
  • Proficiency in automated satellite operations design
  • Knowledge of space and ground segment design, specification, and integration
  • Familiarity with Flight Software role in operations and telemetry structure concepts
  • Experience with models or simulation software
  • Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages, Matlab, and AGI's Systems Tool Kit (STK)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Constellation Operations
  • Development and testing of new automated operations
  • Proficiency in MS Excel for engineering analyses
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools such as DOORS/Windchill/Jama

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct trade-off studies to design, develop, and simulate the Satellite LEOP plan
  • Develop Spacecraft In-Orbit Operations Procedures and oversee execution and training
  • Develop Satellite Operation Manuals, test procedures, and oversee execution and training
  • Create Verification & Validation Matrices for on-orbit commissioning, routine, and contingency operations
  • Support In-Orbit Test (IOT), anomaly resolution, and FDIR activities
  • Assist ICD development activities for hardware/software/database
  • Support Operations DevOps environment tool-chain integration
  • Contribute to ConOps Mission Design, Trade Space Analysis, Modeling, and Automation
  • Operate Satellite Simulator and develop scripts


Pay Details: $63.00 to $84.00 per hour
