Summary: Seeking a Structural Mechanic II to assemble and fit detail parts and structures, ensuring defect-free assemblies through precise drilling and riveting tasks.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, 6" scale, and perform basic shop math
  • Graduates of the Savannah Tech Aircraft Structures Technical Certificate Program may receive one year of experience credit

Preferred Skills:

  • 1 year of related structural assembly experience preferred
  • Experience with Solumina and Smarteam is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and fit detail parts and structures, performing varied drilling and riveting tasks
  • Use portable riveting guns, pneumatic guns, drills, countersinks for structural assemblies
  • Follow blueprints, work orders, and sketches for sequence of operations
  • Inspect all work to ensure defect-free assembly prior to final inspection
  • Keep accurate logs such as MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, and PCOs
  • Align and assemble parts using jigs, clamps for precise assembly
  • Maintain a clean work area in support of the company's 5S Program


Pay Details: $19.00 to $23.00 per hour
