Summary: Seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to create mechanical/electrical/electronic designs, compile Bills of Materials, and assist in prototype assembly using CAD systems.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate degree or equivalent

  • 6+ years of experience in the field or related area

  • US Citizenship with eligibility for DoD Secret Clearance

  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Creo

  • Familiarity with ASME Y14.100, ASME Y14.5, and MIL-STD-3100

Preferred Skills:

  • Circuit Card Assembly and Printed Circuit Board layout experience

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create designs for new product parts and assemblies using CAD or manual systems

  • Compile Bills of Materials; assist in prototype assembly

  • Draw multiple views; identify dimensions, tolerances, materials; prepare documentation and Engineering Change Orders

  • Assist in building/acquiring prototypes; test and analyze results; make calculations for strength of materials, weights, forces, and stresses

  • Analyze proposed changes for fit/interference problems; recommend solutions; modify drawings as needed

  • Provide technical assistance to less experienced drafters; verify accuracy of work

  • Maintain CAD equipment by performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs as required

  • Maintain technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, and professional societies

 

 

 

 



Pay Details: $95,000.00 to $105,000.00 per year
