Summary: Design, develop and improve products in the energy management industry with focus on alternate parts, methods and materials.

Job Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • 3 years design experience

  • Proficient with Solidworks

  • Experience with materials selection, evaluation and specification, injection molding, sheet-metal, mechanisms, gears, electro-mechanical systems

Preferred Skills:

  • Lifecycle management software experience

Job Responsibilities:

  • Takes responsibility for design project

  • Prepares basic design layouts, sketches, diagrams, and graphic analysis

  • Develops innovative solutions; justifies design through scientific evidence

  • Recognizes and defines design problems; recommends alternate solutions

  • Applies knowledge of mechanics, electricity and circuits, materials, and mass production methods to solve design problems

  • Solves problems of fit, space-use, tolerances, assembly sequence, and interferences

  • Works with model makers to produce prototypes/samples for test and evaluation

  • Assists in identifying/resolving problems during tooling, pilot run, and first production

  • Makes changes necessary to update product to new customer specifications

  • Communicates with vendors/partners in support of sourced product efforts

 

 

 

 



Pay Details: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour
