Software Engineer
Job Posting Summary:
Design and development within an Avionics Environment utilizing MBSE tools, CM tools, and integration of embedded software and electronic systems with a focus on regulatory compliance, system safety, and requirements management.
Job Requirements:
- Experience using MBSE tools such as EA Sparx, IBM Rhapsody, or Magic Draw
- Proficiency with CM tools including SVN, ClearCase, git, or Dimensions
- Requirements definition, allocation, validation, verification, and integration expertise
- Familiarity with FAA/EASA/NAA certification processes and system safety protocols
- Experience with DO-297, DO-178, and/or DO-331 process assurance (preferred)
- Prior experience with A653 partition-based operating systems (preferred)
- BS in Aerospace, Electrical, Software, Computer/Science, or related Engineering discipline
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop architecture models for software components
- Write high-level requirements for software components
- Perform SysML modeling using tools like MagicDraw/Cameo
- Generate, validate, and verify system functional requirements
- Coordinate with internal/external IPTs, suppliers, and peers on project/design plans and reviews
- Develop test cases for system verification
- Troubleshoot and resolve system integration/verification issues
- Manage and close issues, problem reports, and change requests
- Coordinate design changes and deliveries with Safety, Security, and Certification teams
- Ensure timely delivery of system requirements and validation/verification activities
Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
