Payroll Specialist IV

Summary: Seeking a Payroll Specialist IV with extensive experience in payroll processing, proficiency in UKG Payroll, and strong general payroll knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Process multi-state payroll for 40,000 employees.

• Evaluate, develop recommendations, document processes, and implement approved changes.

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of complex payroll functions.

• Calculate pay information and adjustments for payroll processing.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax policies.

• Serve as an escalation point for payroll-related inquiries.

• Conduct specialized research and provide recommendations on payroll issues.

• Review and submit manual check requests including sensitive cases like terminations.

• Assist with wage audits from various agencies.

• Aid in the deployment of process automation and reporting tools.

• Oversee overpayment matters.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of payroll department experience.

• Proficiency with UKG Payroll and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Strong general payroll knowledge.

• Understanding of internal payroll controls.

Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.

• Experience with unions, garnishments, or expat payroll processing.

• CPP certification.

 

 

 

 

Pay Details: $35.00 to $41.00 per hour
