Summary: Seeking an Electrical Engineer with expertise in power systems and a strong background in transmission planning for a 12-month project.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering school

  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years of related experience

  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving history

  • Proficiency in MSOffice (Word, Excel, Access)

Preferred Skills:

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Power Systems

  • Professional Engineering registration

  • Experience with PSS/E, MUST, PROBE, ASPEN, and/or PowerGem TARA

  • Familiarity with NERC and NPCC transmission planning standards

  • Experience within RTO planning processes (ISO-NE, NYISO, PJM, CAISO)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct power flow and short circuit analysis using state-of-the-art techniques

  • Prioritize work and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Interact positively with internal teams and external stakeholders

  • Understand commercial aspects of transmission projects

  • Apply knowledge of power systems including protection systems, utility practices, three-phase power system theory, substation configuration, and outage planning

 

 

 Pay: 38-51

Pay Details: $38.00 to $51.00 per hour
