Summary: Seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to design, analyze, and develop mechanical products including ammunition handling systems and missile launchers.

Job Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering plus 4 years relevant experience or M.S. degree and 2 years experience

  • Knowledge of creating solid models and mechanical designs using CAD systems, preferably PTC Pro-E or CREO

  • Experience working with internal/external shops for manufacturing designs

  • Familiarity with military and commercial design standards

  • Experience in military product production environment

  • Good knowledge of GD&T principles (ASME Y14.5)

  • 2+ years experience with Creo modeling and drawing generation

  • Experience with EPDM system, preferably Windchill

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in developing precision assembly tooling

  • Good working knowledge of Tolerance Stack Analysis

Job Responsibilities:

  • Research, plan, analyze, design, and develop mechanical products such as gun systems and mechanisms

  • Perform technical analysis, testing, and evaluation using specialized equipment and computer programs

  • Analyze design specifications to ensure compliance with engineering standards and product requirements

  • Develop technical documentation and revise existing documents

  • Deliver technical presentations related to production support activities

  • Create & maintain product parts, assemblies & drawings using PTC Creo Parametric9.0

  • Solve moderately complex engineering problems without clear precedents

  • Ensure tasks meet cost, quality, schedule, and performance requirements

  • Apply engineering design theories to complex portions of projects Develop effective relationships with customers

 



Pay Details: $35.00 to $46.00 per hour
