Data Center Technician
Summary: Seeking a Data Center Technician for SATCOM/Terrestrial environments with LAN/WAN expertise and TCP/IP knowledge.
Job Requirements:
AA degree, electronics school certification, or equivalent military training and experience
2+ years of experience in SATCOM/Terrestrial environment with LAN/WAN industry standards
Working knowledge of TCP/IP and Ethernet configuration
Preferred Skills:
Industry certifications (Microsoft, Linux, VMware, Cisco, CompTIA, ITIL)
Knowledge of Unix/Linux systems
Basic electronics troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of satellite technology and terrestrial technology (DSL, WIFI, Cable)
Experience with Cisco, HNS, CATV/IPTV and other Telco and IP protocol core network equipment
Job Responsibilities:
Climb ladders up to 20 feet
Work with hands and arms above head for extended periods
Carry equipment up to 50 pounds
Install/deinstall cables/equipment repetitively
Terminate various types of cabling (CAT6/6A, coaxial cable, fiber cable) with precision
Handle escalation and emergency response requests in a 24 x 7 x 365 environment
Pay Details: $29.00 to $39.00 per hour
