Summary: Seeking Mill Operators with strong aerospace milling experience for B and D shifts to perform various mill operations and quality assurance tasks.

  • Requirements:

    • Strong Aerospace Milling experience

    • Ability to set up rollers and other associated components

  • Preferred Skills:

    • Familiarity with annealing process

    • Proficiency in welding and basic mill operations

  • Responsibilities:

    • Work under the direction of an assigned Mill Operator

    • Master annealing process, setting up mills, welding, wall changes, size changes, line marking

    • Perform quality assurance tasks including taking samples, destructive test procedures, end cut squareness

    • Make routine adjustments to mill and peripheral equipment

    • Conduct hardness tests at prescribed intervals and adjust annealing accordingly

    • Maintain records of hardness tests and annealing adjustments

    • Take periodic micrometer readings of strip material and record measurements

    • Use pin gauges and micrometer to measure ID and OD of tubing

    • Visually inspect welds by using band saw to cut tubing

    • Perform post tube manufacturing processes such as cutting, deburring tubing, water testing coils, re-cutting straight lengths off the mills

    • Record production records including length, measurements, material details

    • Resolve routine mill problems with assistance from Mill Operator as required

    • Perform routine maintenance on mills and auxiliary equipment



Pay Details: $18.00 to $24.00 per hour
