Test Software Engineer
Summary: Engineer II Test SW Engineer sought for test system software and hardware design and development within the Global Supply Chain operations environment, focusing on National Instruments based solutions.
Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering.

3-4 years of experience in a related field.

Experience with test system development on National Instruments based standard test platform for new product introductions.

Ability to debug and enhance test software and firmware on production and service testers.

Skills to identify hardware in test systems and design product interface fixtures to meet product test requirements.

Proficiency in ensuring regulatory compliance through Qualification & Validation processes.
Preferred Skills:
-
Proven expertise in NI LabVIEW, NI TestStand, and familiarity with NI Hardware is a plus.

Experience with C/C++ and Python programming languages, particularly for test firmware/software development and debugging.

Strong understanding of PCBA and electronic system testing including schematic and layout interpretation.

Knowledge of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, RS232/RS422/RS485, USB, UART.

Proficient with DMM, power supply, oscilloscope, and other lab equipment usage.
Job Responsibilities:
-
Develop distributed software applications for real-time automated test system solutions.

Ensure integrity throughout the software development lifecycle using Agile and Lean methodologies.

Create comprehensive documentation including specifications, change control processes, tester validations etc.

Balance performance considerations against manufacturability and cost constraints during the design process.
Candidates must have hands-on experience with NI LabVIEW, NI TestStand. Additional experience with NI Hardware is considered a plus. The role requires involvement in all stages of the software development lifecycle as well as interaction across various organizational levels.
Pay Details: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour
