Summary: Seeking an Avionics Manager to oversee avionics system architecture, hardware development, and qualification with a focus on electrical power, communications, and command and data handling subsystems.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven track record of technical and/or project management in complex aerospace system developments

  • Experience with requirements development, verification, and tracking

  • Ability to evaluate fault tolerance and reliability of complex electronics or aerospace systems

  • Leadership experience in fast-paced environments with competing resources

  • Record of completing deliverables within schedule and budget constraints

  • Experience collaborating with HR on hiring, performance evaluations, training, and terminations

  • Strong decision-making capabilities with meticulous attention to detail

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Preferred Skills:

  • Postgraduate degree in relevant engineering field

  • Direct experience with avionics hardware development and qualification

  • Knowledge of RF systems and analysis; familiarity with systems engineering tools like DOORS

  • Expertise in GPS/inertial navigation systems, computing/processing system development, networking, power distribution, instrumentation, valve/motor control

  • Experience managing thermal aspects of avionics components

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the engineering team to ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget

  • Partner with stakeholders for design specifications adherence during build and test phases

  • Keep the team motivated; train staff while communicating expectations clearly

  • Resolve conflicts within the team; appraise employee performance annually

Education & Experience:

  • BS degree in Aerospace, Electrical or Computer Engineering required

  • At least 7 years' experience in avionics integration on aerospace platforms

Desired Experience:

  • Start-up company background

  • Successful management of technical projects

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 AM - 5 PM

 

 

 

 



Pay Details: $30.00 to $45.00 per hour
