Summary: Seeking a Payload Director experienced in designing/architecting communication systems to manage the team integrating payloads onto our High Altitude Platform System (HAPS).

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience designing/architecting communication systems

  • Extensive experience in 4GLTE and/or 5G cellular telecommunications

  • Prior experience in telecommunication network simulations

  • Experience with beamforming antenna arrays

  • Experience in backhaul/downlink development

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Synthetic Aperture Radars, Hyperspectral Imagers, LiDAR, and aerosol samplers

  • Familiarity with electro-mechanical positioning systems

  • Experience in cellular network planning and optimization

  • Experience with payload design and integration

  • Satellite or Aerospace industry experience

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing payloads for stratospheric operation

  • Managing suppliers and conducting engineer reviews

  • Liaising with external customers

  • Supervising a team of approximately 2 - 3 direct reports

  • Ensuring the team meets deliverables on schedule and within budget

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or related STEM discipline

  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience

  • Minimum of 2 years management experience

  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years project management experience

 

 

 

 



Pay Details: $83.00 to $111.00 per hour
