Summary: Seeking an Animal Technician II to support research animal health and compliance with study protocols in a pre-clinical setting.

  • Requirements:

    • AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline.
    • 1-2 years of related experience.
    • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) preferred.
    • Experience with animals, specifically pigs, dogs, and sheep.
    • Technical skills in drug dose calculations and anesthesia.
    • Experience with GDP documentation and GLP studies.
  • Responsibilities:

    • Maintain animal health under veterinarian direction.
    • Ensure compliance with regulations and procedures.
    • Provide care including vaccinations, medication administration, and physical exams.
    • Support post-operative procedures with pain assessments and anesthesia use.
    • Process clinical pathology samples and ensure proper enrichment for animals.
    • Maintain records for regulatory compliance and coordinate inventory management.
    • Induce anesthesia, monitor physiological status, and assist in study design.


Pay Details: $20.00 to $29.00 per hour
