Quality Systems Engineer

Summary: Seeking a Quality Systems Engineer to support test lab operations, maintain quality systems, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science (Engineering Preferred)

• 5-10 years of experience in quality/manufacturing/process engineering

• Proficiency in ERP, Laboratory Management software, quality systems, and Management of Change

• Background in continuous improvement with problem-solving and root cause analysis experience

• Knowledge of statistical methods and standards

• Familiarity with quality systems, ISO9001/AS9100 requirements

• Experience in material/analytical testing

• Understanding of manufacturing processes and value chain

Preferred Skills:

• Six Sigma Black Belt certification

Job Responsibilities:

• Support test lab for production by applying quality and statistical principles

• Maintain safety and quality systems within laboratory and site operations

• Write standard operating procedures (SOPs), test procedures, and data sheets documents

• Oversee the Calibration program

• Conduct customer-specific tests and generate test data reports

• Collaborate with the Technical Support Department for timely inquiry responses related to laboratory tests

• Enhance lab equipment in collaboration with engineering

• Provide testing support for new product releases

• Ensure effective operation and maintenance of all laboratory equipment

• Develop SOPs to comply with regulatory and AS9100 requirements

• Evaluate new equipment/raw materials for safety compliance

• Oversee procurement of supplies and preventive maintenance of facility equipment

• Provide technical assistance via various communication channels

• Complete technical product reports on encountered product problems

• Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams

• Handle/testing samples adhering to OSHA/safety policies

  • Address management requests promptly

  • Conduct required quality/safety audits

Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
