Summary: Seeking a Process Engineer with expertise in plastic manufacturing, extrusion die design, and process development.

Requirements:

  • BS in Engineering

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in plastic manufacturing

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and CAD/CAM software

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

  • Capable of lifting objects up to 50 lbs

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with different plastic resins and processing

Responsibilities:

  • Design tooling and develop processes for mono and co-extrusion plastic profiles and tubes

  • Lead new tooling development projects ensuring quality and timely delivery

  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and QC teams for sample approval processes

  • Coordinate tooling needs with various departments including Die Development and Production Management

  • Oversee tool making activities ensuring high design standards

  • Act as systems analyst for machine shop coordination with external vendors

  • Work on procurement needs for the machine shop alongside Supply Chain Manager

  • Support other departments and company sites with their tooling requirements

  • Seek process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce lead time

  • Troubleshoot daily process difficulties to support production

  • Coordinate timely responses for rebuilding or special tooling needs

  • Engage in continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce scrap

 

 

 

 



Pay Details: $57.00 to $60.00 per hour
