Quality Inspector (2nd shift)
Summary: Seeking a Quality Inspector (2nd shift) responsible for performing daily inspections, assessing non-conforming products, and updating relevant databases and reports.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Inspector experience, preferably in medical devices
- Basic computer skills for daily information input
- Competence with Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 standard and CFR 820 regulations
- General understanding of Statistical Process Control principles
Preferred Skills:
- CMM experience for higher pay rate
- Ability to read and interpret prints and customer requirements
- Proficiency with standard dimensional gages such as calipers, micrometers, and drop indicators
- Experience with sophisticated inspection/test equipment like vision systems, CMMs, and optical comparators
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily inspections and communicate findings to Quality and area manager
- Assess non-conforming products and identify process issues
- Update databases, logs, and reports accurately
- Use specialized inspection/test equipment to qualify/verify products
- Complete quality records and file appropriately
- Coordinate MRB activities and segregate nonconforming material
- Evaluate nonconforming material and provide input for corrective/preventive actions
- Conduct follow-up checks with Quality Engineers
- Perform data entry to monitor quality/performance trends
- Review documentation and verify dimensions of received materials
- Complete First Article Inspection as guided by Quality Engineering
- Perform in-house calibrations of gages
- Support validation activities with measurements and documentation
- Verify products visually and dimensionally through in-process inspections
Pay Details: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour
