Welder/Fabricator

 

Summary: Seeking a Welder/Fabricator to fabricate, assemble, and repair sheet steel and structural steel assemblies.

Requirements:

• 1 year of sheet metal fabrication experience

• Ability to read specifications, blueprints, and job orders

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Skills:

• Certification to AWS D1.1 by a third-party testing agency

Job Responsibilities:

• Select gauge and type of sheet metal according to drawings provided

• Cut, bend, grind, trim, notch, punch, de-burr, clean, and weld sheet steel and structural steel using appropriate machines and hand tools

• Plan, lay-out, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal parts and products

• Set up and operate fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, and presses

• Trim, file, grind, buff, and smooth surfaces using hand tools and portable power tools

• Weld, solder, bolt, rivet, screw, clip, caulk, and bond component parts to assemble products

 

 

 Pay: 58000-67000

Pay Details: $58,000.00 to $67,000.00 per year
