Chemical Process Operator (Richmond, CA)

Summary: Seeking a Chemical Process Operator to manage and troubleshoot batch and continuous chemical processes.

Requirements:

• HS diploma or equivalent

• Ability to speak, read, and write professionally in English

• Intermediate-level math skills for unit conversion and ratio calculation

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel and Word)

Preferred Skills:

• Associate degree with a chemical/biological background

• Chemical/biological production experience in a regulated environment

• Experience with ERP systems like SAP

• Compliance with hazardous material regulations and wastewater handling

• Knowledge of handling reactors

Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, control, and troubleshoot chemical processes

• Adhere to safety protocols for storing chemicals, operating machines, and disposing materials

• Follow procedures for handling chemicals as per regulations

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Execute tasks according to standard operating procedures

• Weigh, measure, prepare, mix, monitor, and adjust chemical materials using large-scale reactors

• Collect samples and perform in-line product testing to resolve issues before completing production

• Maintain documentation as required by local, federal, and company regulations

• Perform equipment cleaning and batch preparation

• Communicate inventory, planning, and quality issues to the supervisor or appropriate department partner

Pay:18-20

Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
