Quality Engineer
Summary: Seeking a Quality Engineer with experience in quality control and commercial heat treatment of various metals, capable of managing quality systems and procedures.
Job Requirements:
Basic metallurgical knowledge through formal training or experience
Engineering degree preferred
Three years' experience in Quality Control
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Knowledge of heat treatment processes for specific alloys
Ability to make written recommendations for quality system improvements
Six Sigma Green Belt (desired)
Familiarity with commercial, aircraft, aerospace specifications, ASME, and military codes
Proficient with Microsoft Office and databases
Ability to read/interpret blueprints/specifications
Preferred Skills:
Six Sigma Green Belt certification
Job Responsibilities:
Assume duties of Quality Manager in their absence
Identify and address conditions affecting product/process quality; initiate corrective actions
Coordinate interdepartmental efforts for quality assurance compliance
Identify and ensure provision of quality training needs
Report on the performance of the quality system for management review
Communicate status of the quality management system at all levels
Assist in general quality activities including control of records, monitoring objectives, audits, evaluation/disposition of non-conformances
Monitor and maintain instruments including calibration and process control testing
Oversee outside processing including supplier evaluations and reviewing certifications
Support inspection processes across various stages (receiving, braze/heat treat, final inspection)
Practice safety and good housekeeping standards
Pay Details: $29.00 to $39.00 per hour
