Job Posting Summary: Seeking an experienced Extrusion Operator to manage and operate extrusion lines effectively, ensuring continuous production and adherence to quality standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous extrusion line experience required
  • Ability to lift 25 - 50 pounds from floor to chest
  • Ability to maneuver up to a 90� reel with a Johnson Bar
  • Ability to climb several flights of stairs to the CV workstation
  • Ability to exert 25 pounds of force with cable cutters
  • Ability to visually inspect the quality of products
  • Proficiency in using handheld tools and measuring devices

Job Responsibilities:

  • Comply with company safety rules and ensure the safety of the operating station
  • Keep equipment and workstation clean and orderly
  • Set up the entire line by selecting and installing appropriate extruder tooling and associated line components according to the Engineering Specification
  • Set up AL Draw Block and Ultrasonic Washer for CV3, manage pay-off through take-up operation, and install appropriate tooling and auxiliary line equipment for specified gauge sizes of solid aluminum conductors
  • Monitor the supply of raw material to ensure continuous operation
  • Perform measurements with company-approved devices to ensure all aspects of the extrusion process meet or exceed specifications
  • Generate product identification tags for extruded cable products and maintain accurate records of quality and data
  • Complete CV Operator and CV Take-Up Operator Training and Evaluation Checklists
  • Take corrective action to ensure product quality
  • Participate in CV team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement projects
  • Assist in maintaining ISO certification and adhere to applicable System Level Procedures (SLPs)
  • Act as a primary Emergency Action Warden for designated sectors, and assume additional duties as required


Pay Details: $17.00 to $18.00 per hour
