Summary: Seeking a Machine Operator for manual milling and lathe operations, ensuring high-quality part production according to specifications.

Job Requirements:

  • High/Vocational school diploma

  • Knowledge of basic shop math, blueprint reading, and inspection equipment

  • 1 to 3 years of experience with millers and/or lathe machines

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in setting up and operating Bridgeport millers and/or Turret Lathes

  • Ability to select proper materials, feeds, speeds, and tool offsets for machining tasks

  • Competency in using dial calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, comparators for part inspections

  • Experience maintaining SPC Data

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate milling/turret lathe machines as per blueprints

  • Inspect first piece parts and conduct in-process inspections to ensure conformance with print tolerances

  • Manage workflow by moving parts to the next operation area as needed

  • Assist other operators with setup processes when required

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend and lift up to 60 lbs regularly

Work Environment:

  • Role involves working in both manufacturing and office settings with regular exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, and odors

 

 

 

 



Pay Details: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour
