Summary: Electrical Engineering Manager needed to lead an engineering department, ensuring project delivery and team leadership, with a focus on automotive project management life cycle and proficiency in ERP and CAD systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Working knowledge of robust ERP systems and/or AutoCAD Inventor CAD systems.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project.

  • Ability to multitask, set priorities, adapt to changing work environments.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking.

Preferred Skills:

  • Automotive/RV experience.

  • Proven people leadership skills over technical expertise.

  • Experience with automotive project management life cycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the engineering department through project execution within projected delivery dates.

  • Provide leadership support ensuring team members meet critical objectives ahead of timelines.

  • Perform ongoing reviews of design work, adjust to achieve objectives regarding deliverables, schedule, budget, scope, and risk.

  • Monitor design output for compliance with standards and requirements.

  • Coordinate hiring, training, evaluating staff performance; take corrective action as necessary.

  • Assign duties equitably; monitor results providing feedback on performance.

  • Establish SMART goals for team members aligned with strategic company initiatives.

  • Ensure office activities comply with company/departmental policy.

  • Participate in training/coaching/mentoring for associate growth/promotion from within the company.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to monitor part usage/change impacts to avoid parts shortages/design scrap issues.

  • Work with Manufacturing to address manufacturability challenges concerning tooling costs and associate safety.

  • Track departmental KPIs through weekly accountability meetings using a project tracker.

  • Communicate with external suppliers about new technologies/equipment for product plan improvements.

  • Provide timely updates on project status/plans including reports/reviews/resource requirements. Improve Leadership & Product Development Skills.

 

 

 

 



Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
