Summary: Seeking a Composites Plastic Manufacturing Engineer to lead process development and improvements in thermoforming for a supplier in the rail, construction, and heavy truck industries.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Plastics, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or similar engineering field

  • Minimum of 5 years direct manufacturing experience

  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen or other Lean tools

Preferred Skills:

  • Solidworks and AutoCad experience

  • Injection Molding experience

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document process, tooling, and new product development for thermoformed products

  • Optimize productivity, reduce cycle time, improve quality, reduce scrap, and reduce operating costs through continual process improvement

  • Initiate and assist with capital improvement projects through new equipment purchase or facility modification

  • Develop and monitor training plans to ensure personnel are versed in new process requirements

Pay: 80000-100000
