Summary: Seeking a Welding Engineer with experience in resistance welding and familiarity with FANUC robotics for maintenance and project management in automotive manufacturing.

Job Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Welding Engineering or Welding Technologist program preferred.

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in resistance welding within a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency with projection, resistance, and GMAW welding processes.

  • Ability to work on designated shifts (A-Shift: Mon-Fri 5:15AM to 5:15PM or C-Shift: Fri-Sat 5AM to 5PM & Sun-Mon 5PM to 5AM).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with FANUC robots or similar welding robotics systems.

  • Project management skills from quoting phase through commissioning and production.

  • Capability to manage vendors and direct projects towards successful implementation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive customer specifications adherence for mechanical designs including welders, robots, conveyance, and transfer systems.

  • Support production personnel in root cause analysis and resolution of throughput, quality, and cost challenges.

  • Provide direction on weld application during process development for line optimization while maintaining weld specifications.

  • Lead continuous improvement efforts aimed at enhancing weld quality.

  • Evaluate weld documentation and test results for compliance with customer specifications.



Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
