Manufacturing Engineer: Develop and maintain automation equipment and processes in a production environment

  • Minimum AS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years experience supporting and designing automated systems
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a production and/or assembly environment
  • Excellent computer skills, including programming and software development
  • Equipment troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to explain complex ideas to multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
  • Knowledge and experience in Lean and/or Six Sigma
  • Desired knowledge of Project Management, Risk Assessment, and Design of Experiments

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain clear documentation of automation equipment and processes
  • Assist in procurement and installation of equipment
  • Communicate and facilitate recommendations and design changes
  • Design fixtures and tooling; evaluate and troubleshoot product and process issues
  • Perform special assignments as requested
  • Determine problem resolutions and implement improvements
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes and workflows for improvement opportunities
  • Develop and implement cost-saving measures and quality control systems
  • Ensure manufacturing processes and equipment meet capability and capacity requirements
  • Research and develop new processes, equipment, and product introductions
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings for collaboration
