Summary: Seeking a Construction Engineering Technician (CET) for Naval Shipyard with substantial experience in construction inspection and safety regulations enforcement.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of foreman experience as an inspector on commercial/industrial/military projects. Residential experience does not qualify.

  • Experience performing inspections of trades including electrical, concrete, plumbing (NEC), mechanical, HVAC, structural, civil/site work for new building/facilities construction and renovating existing buildings.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of NEC and other building codes as appropriate.

  • Reporting experience: Ability to write reports and conduct briefings.

  • Knowledge of 3 Phases of Construction.

  • Safety knowledge and ability to enforce EM 385 -1-

  • OSHA training (30)

  • Corps of Engineers CQM for Contractors certificate

  • Experience in reviewing submittals related to project completion and quality assurance.

Preferred Skills:

  • Safety Certificates (ladders, electrical, cranes, lockout-tagout, etc.)

  • 4-year degree in architecture, site/civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or construction management QA

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections on various trades during new building/facilities construction and renovation projects

  • Enforce safety regulations and protocols based on EM 385 -1-1

  • Review project submittals related to completion and quality assurance

  • Write reports and conduct briefings related to inspections performed.

 

 

 

 



Pay Details: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour
