Summary: Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and optimize assembly processes using Lean Manufacturing principles while ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Process, or related field)
  • Entry-level candidates considered with strong co-op or internship experience, preferably with Mack/Volvo
  • Prefer candidates with a few years of work experience to provide a competitive advantage

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or industrial engineering
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies and implementation
  • Experience with work instruction creation and maintenance
  • Ability to analyze and optimize production layouts and processes
  • Understanding of tooling requirements and assembly sequencing

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop assembly processes to meet manufacturing targets using Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency in production processes
  • Create and maintain work instructions, determine manpower requirements, and provide production line support
  • Industrialize new product and process changes with zero disturbance to production
  • Define assembly sequences, time standards, line balancing, station design, and tooling requirements
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focusing on ergonomics, cost efficiency, productivity, and performance
  • Implement Industry 4.0 technologies for flexibility in product and volume changes
  • Participate in global and regional manufacturing engineering networks to support and implement strategies
  • Design and optimize production layouts to ensure efficiency and productivity
  • Develop and specify production operation sequences and procedures
  • Conduct tests throughout production stages to monitor and control variables
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
  • Provide technical guidance to product design engineering to optimize manufacturability


Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
