Technical Support Engineer
Summary:
Supports the Volvo and Mack dealer network by providing technical diagnostics and solutions to resolve product concerns and maintain customer uptime.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred or Associate Degree in Diesel/Automotive Technology with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Entry-level candidates must have co-op or internship experience in automotive or vehicle-related fields.
- Experience working with technicians at dealerships or repair facilities.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Preferred Skills:
- Master Technician Training status or willingness to achieve it.
- Experience with diagnostic tools and service support systems.
- Familiarity with eService case files and technical escalation processes.
- Understanding of truck diagnostics and vehicle system troubleshooting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage escalated technical cases and provide high-level technical support.
- Assist dealerships and field networks in diagnosing and resolving product concerns.
- Monitor eService case files to ensure best-in-class support.
- Provide frontline support for field personnel and technical teams.
- Supervise the service support escalation process and maintain case ownership.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to develop solutions for emerging product issues.
- Develop and update service literature and technical documentation.
- Deliver monthly technical training to support specialists and dealers.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to enhance dealer technical diagnostics and service support.
- Support the training requirements of Dealer Technical Support through training programs and seminars.
- Deploy and analyze data loggers as needed for field diagnostics.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for new product launches.
- Identify and contribute effective solutions to the knowledge bank.
- Travel as necessary to support customers and the dealer network.
Pay Details: $21.00 to $28.00 per hour
