Building Automation Controls Engineer
Summary:
Design, develop, and manage Building Automation Systems (BAS) projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, cost estimates, and performance standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze project performance standards, specifications, cost estimates, and deliverables.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and documents to establish project intent.
- Develop coordinated drawings and select appropriate products to meet project requirements.
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned projects.
- Procure all necessary parts to support installation and start-up.
- Interact with clients to interpret needs and represent project requirements in the field.
- Develop programs with JCI software (CCT) for application-specific programming and conduct system simulations.
- Design, start up, and commission supervisory-level system controllers (FX-90’s Niagara).
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering (preferably HVAC Engineering).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Visio.
- Working knowledge of BAS engineering software, specifically Johnson Controls Facility Explorer, Metasys, and Tridium Niagara.
- Knowledge of HVAC industry applications, MEP drawings, specifications, and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams.
- Experience working with 3-phase, 460-volt electrical panels.
Pay Details: $42.00 to $57.00 per hour
