Test Engineer
Summary:
Perform feature, function, and field testing for automotive products, defining verification criteria, managing test strategies, configuring data acquisition systems, and analyzing test results to support product development.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of working experience
- 3-5 years of experience with analog inputs such as voltage measurement, pressure, frequency, acceleration, and temperature
- Automotive test experience
- Solid understanding of vehicle bus systems and their protocols (CAN, Ethernet, LIN)
- In-depth knowledge and experience with metrology fundamentals
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Dewesoft or Ipetronik
- Experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, and/or Kvaser Memorator
- Scripting knowledge in Matlab, Python, C#, C++ or similar languages
Job Responsibilities:
- Define verification criteria for feature, function, and field tests
- Develop test plans and execute tests using simulation, rig tests, and physical vehicles
- Perform physical and virtual testing, including performance and fuel consumption measurements, wind resistance, climate testing, durability, and noise testing
- Manage customer relationships and define field test strategies for new technologies
- Identify verification needs and define test requirements for features, functions, or field tests
- Configure and develop data acquisition (DAQ) systems, instrumentation, and data storage processes
- Develop and improve test procedures related to DAQ systems, including report automation
- Analyze test results, generate fault reports, and compile engineering reports
- Continuously update test methods and propose updates to technical requirements
- Define strategies and develop test methods for new technologies and transport solutions
Pay Details: $31.00 to $42.00 per hour
