Senior Vehicle Systems Design Engineer
Develop and support electrical architecture system roadmaps, embedded systems, and vehicle functionality for commercial and automotive applications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and support development of technical concepts on subsystem and component levels with cross-functional alignment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including function owners, component owners, and solution providers, to define system design concepts.
- Develop and anchor system evolution roadmaps for various electrical architectures.
- Write technical reports and cross-functional specifications, defining prerequisites, requirements, and their impact on electrical systems.
- Develop embedded software specifications, electrical schematics, and block diagrams for vehicle functions.
- Participate in functional safety and quality tool screening, planning, and execution.
- Coordinate activities with other departments, customers, and vendors to ensure project deliverables.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (BSEE/BSME); Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, specifically electrical architecture systems.
- Experience in commercial vehicle or automotive product development.
- Knowledge of embedded systems, CAN, LIN, ISO 26262, J1939, and AUTOSAR.
- Experience with electronic hardware/software infrastructure, electrical architecture design, and system development.
- Familiarity with software development tools, diagnostics, and production systems.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in global organizations with cross-functional interaction.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and project operations.
- Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), SFMEA, and product quality assurance.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Pay Details: $37.00 to $50.00 per hour
