Sheet Metal Mechanic
Job Summary:
Seeking an Aircraft Structures Technician to fabricate, assemble, install, and repair internal and external aircraft structures for F-16 modifications, with a focus on precision drilling and structural assembly.
Responsibilities:
- Install fasteners, drill bulkheads, skins, and assemble fuselage components.
- Perform heavy precision drilling, countersinking, and reaming precision holes.
- Ensure compliance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, and FAA regulations.
- Conduct aircraft modifications and structural repairs.
- Work in various positions, including kneeling, climbing on fuselage parts, and using ladders or stands.
- Perform hands-on production work with minimal bench work.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in aviation production drilling and structural work.
- Extensive experience in precision drilling on aircraft structures.
- Ability to work any shift, including second shift and weekends.
- Experience working in a hands-on production environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with F-16 aircraft structures and modifications.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and engineering drawings.
- Strong background in aviation structural assembly and fastener installation.
Pay Details: $35.00 to $38.00 per hour
