Procurement Specialist
Lead sourcing activities, negotiations, and procurement strategies for aerospace and industrial components to optimize cost, contract coverage, and supply continuity.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and commodity management
- Expert-level proficiency in Excel
- Familiarity with component manufacturing processes and quality standards
- CIPS certification desired
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with in-depth cost breakdown analysis and cost estimation
- Knowledge of procurement integration in project management processes (PM@Siemens)
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead sourcing activities and negotiations for low to high-value aerospace and industrial components
- Conduct contractual and price negotiations with suppliers to mitigate commercial risk and optimize cost opportunities
- Perform cost breakdown analysis and negotiate total cost of acquisition to meet cost-saving targets
- Develop and execute cost reduction and resourcing programs while managing supply chain impact
- Establish and implement robust commodity and supplier strategies aligned with business needs
- Integrate procurement within project management processes and oversee procurement activities for assigned projects
- Participate in project and sales meetings to optimize internal workflows and procurement processes
- Establish sourcing and procurement controls to ensure efficient resource management
- Analyze customer inquiries during bid preparation and align procurement with functional needs
- Support project calculations with accurate material cost data
- Assess scope of supply and contract agreements, conduct risk analyses, and provide negotiation recommendations
- Drive procurement strategies within projects and ensure successful implementation
- Lead or support contractual and price negotiations for specific material categories
Pay Details: $27.00 to $36.00 per hour
