Process Engineer
Responsible for developing and optimizing process designs, performing simulations, and ensuring compliance with industry standards in chemical engineering projects.
Job Requirements:
- BS degree in Chemical Engineering
- Experience with BFD, PFD, HMB, and P&ID development
- Proficiency in process simulation tools (Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, COMSOL, ChemCAD, PRO/II)
- Knowledge of equipment sizing and design
- Expertise in PSV sizing and flare system design per API standards
- Experience developing design basis and control narrative documents
- HAZOP and HAZID experience
- FE/PE certification is a plus
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize process flow diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams
- Perform process simulations to support engineering decisions and project execution
- Design and size equipment to meet project specifications and industry regulations
- Conduct pressure safety valve (PSV) sizing and flare system design per API standards
- Create design basis documents and control narratives for process systems
- Participate in HAZOP and HAZID reviews to ensure process safety compliance
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop efficient and scalable process solutions
- Ensure adherence to industry codes, standards, and best practices in process engineering
Pay Details: $35.00 to $45.00 per hour
