Components Engineer
Summary:
Design, analyze, and evaluate electrical parts and circuits, ensuring compliance with technical requirements and supporting engineering teams in component selection and failure analysis.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
Formal coursework, training, or experience in electrical parts and circuit design, semiconductor physics, and device operation (hybrids, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes, capacitors)
Advanced knowledge of EEEE parts design, functionality, manufacturing, materials, and processes
Experience reviewing engineering drawings and specifications, providing guidance to design and test teams
Experience establishing and implementing technical requirements, including specifications and program plans
Knowledge or experience in failure analysis, destructive physical analysis, and root cause/corrective action related to EEEE parts
Preferred Skills:
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Materials Engineering with an emphasis on electrical parts or semiconductor physics
Familiarity with technical requirements, including specifications and program plans
Experience leading and presenting at major program milestone reviews such as PDR and CDR
Active DoD Secret clearance or higher
Understanding of nuclear effects on EEEE parts and experience working with Survivability Engineers on Rad-Hard applications
Familiarity with military specifications and engineering requirements
Advanced knowledge of worst-case analysis (WCA), EEEE parts derating, and end-of-life requirements
Experience evaluating emerging technologies for EEEE parts in complex design packages
Job Responsibilities:
Perform analysis and evaluation of electrical components, ensuring compliance with design and technical requirements
Review engineering drawings and specifications, providing technical guidance to design and test teams
Establish and implement technical requirements for EEEE parts selection and performance verification
Conduct failure analysis, destructive physical analysis, and root cause/corrective action investigations for EEEE components
Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize EEEE parts selection for reliability and performance
Support major program milestone reviews, including PDR and CDR presentations
Evaluate new and emerging EEEE technologies for integration into complex design systems
Pay: 66-75

Pay Details: $66.00 to $75.00 per hour
