Sr. Components Engineer
Summary:
Senior Component Engineer responsible for ensuring electrical components in modules meet high reliability and product life cycle requirements, contributing to the design, development, and support of Digital and RF/Microwave Products.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Component Engineering experience.
- Proficiency with PTC Windchill for Part Bill of Materials (BOM) management.
- Active Secret clearance at the start of employment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with RF component selection.
- Experience with part qualification and failure analysis.
- Familiarity with military standards and automotive electronics standards.
- Advanced expertise with PTC Windchill application for BOM maintenance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Research component termination styles, plastic encapsulation styles, and component construction processes.
- Generate Vendor Identification Drawings, Source Control Drawings, and Altered Item Drawings.
- Lead component part standardization and selection.
- Process change notices in PTC Windchill for BOM and maintain engineering BOM in compliance with standards.
- Develop and execute component qualification test plans with external test houses.
- Create component screening procedures as directed by the Parts Management Process plan.
- Interface with customers to present part changes and hardware impact.
- Lead component failure investigations as required.
- Qualify alternate test houses for part finish mitigations and part qualifications.
- Research and assess the impact of Product Change Notices (PCNs) and obsolescence on programs.
- Mentor less experienced engineers on part-related knowledge.
Pay Details: $80.00 to $100.00 per hour
