Instrumentation and Controls Engineer
Design and develop instrumentation and control systems for projects in the oil and gas or industrial sectors, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop detailed design packages, including specifications, datasheets, and drawings for instrumentation and control systems.
- Perform instrument selection, sizing, and procurement to meet project and industry standards.
- Design and implement control system architectures, including PLC/DCS systems and HMI configurations.
- Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to integrate instrumentation and controls into overall project designs.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing systems and support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
- Prepare technical reports, studies, and documentation for project execution.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Systems Engineering (or equivalent).
- 5+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls engineering, preferably in the oil and gas or industrial sectors.
- Proficiency in control system design software such as AutoCAD, AVEVA, or similar.
- Strong understanding of industry standards (e.g., ISA, API, ASME).
- Professional Engineer (PE) designation or eligibility for registration is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in sweet and sour gas projects within an EPCM environment.
- Broad exposure to sweet and sour gas facility design and construction, including field facilities (production pads, wells, and flowlines) and processing facilities.
- Experience with pipeline facilities such as compressor and pump stations.
- Familiarity with technical specifications, codes, and regulations.
Pay Details: $42.00 to $57.00 per hour
