CMM Programmer - 16695-1
Responsible for developing and programming Zeiss CMMs using Calypso software to ensure quality standards for manufactured and procured parts.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of Zeiss Advanced Training using Calypso software (Zeiss-specific training required)
- 5+ years of experience working in a machine shop environment
- At least 1 year of experience developing CMM processes, including designing fixtures, determining probes, and programming the machines
Preferred Skills:
- Experience leading Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes
- Strong understanding of quality standards, methods, and inspection procedures
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and review quality standards, work instructions, and inspection procedures for manufactured and procured parts
- Program Zeiss CMMs using Calypso software and design necessary fixtures and probe configurations
- Lead or participate in technical investigations, including Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards
- Identify root causes of complex quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve processes
- Develop and implement new inspection processes and automation methods to improve efficiency
- Utilize lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement in inspection processes
- Make final decisions on product acceptability based on inspection results
Pay Details: $35.00 to $47.00 per hour
