Mechanical NPD Design Engineer
Responsible for the design and development of sheet metal and injection molded mechanical parts using SolidWorks 2022 for new product development (NPD) projects.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (required).
- Experience in new product development (NPD) of sheet metal and injection molded parts.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks 2022 for clean sheet mechanical design.
- Familiarity with designing comparable products, such as home appliances.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with manufacturing processes for sheet metal and injection molding.
- Knowledge of material selection and mechanical part tolerances.
- Understanding of product lifecycle management from concept to production.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical components using SolidWorks 2022, focusing on sheet metal and injection molded parts.
- Create new product designs from a clean sheet, ensuring functionality and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project specifications and timelines.
- Review and validate designs to ensure compliance with performance and quality standards.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure components meet design requirements and manufacturing capabilities.
- Maintain accurate design documentation and project records throughout the product development process.
Pay Details: $40.00 to $54.00 per hour
