Summary:
Responsible for developing electrical equipment specifications, overseeing electrical system design, and ensuring compliance with project requirements in the natural gas and LNG industries.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical engineering
  • Experience with low and medium voltage power distribution systems, including power system design, equipment sizing, protective device selection, and power system studies
  • Familiarity with single-line diagrams, power and control schematics, raceway and wiring design, and grounding design
  • Knowledge of electrical specifications for generators, motors, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, soft starters, and UPS systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of power modeling software (ETAP preferred) for power system analyses (motor starting transient, load flow, short circuit, protective device coordination, arc flash)
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70 (NEC) and NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety)
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD is desirable
  • Field construction experience is a plus

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with material procurement processes, including specification preparation and bid analysis
  • Knowledge of electrical installation details and vendor documentation review
  • Familiarity with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) procedures and overseeing electrical contractors in the field

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop specifications for electrical equipment such as motor control centers, switchgear, and transformers
  • Prepare engineering documentation and direct CAD teams to produce accurate drawings
  • Contribute to procurement by reviewing vendor quotations for technical accuracy
  • Analyze contractor bids and select appropriate vendors
  • Review vendor documentation for compliance with project requirements
  • Perform sizing and selection of electrical equipment
  • Oversee manufacturing, construction, and installation to ensure conformance with specifications
  • Conduct and attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
  • Travel to field sites to oversee electrical contractor progress and provide support during installation and testing stages
  • Coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment in field installations


Pay Details: $150,000.00 to $170,000.00 per year
