Responsible for overseeing the receipt, inspection, storage, and management of project materials, ensuring compliance with procurement procedures, documentation accuracy, and property management policies.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or Construction Management, and at least 1 year of procurement experience in an engineering, procurement, and construction environment
  • In lieu of a degree, high school diploma and 7 years of progressive procurement experience
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, physical (if required), and background check
  • Knowledge of standard computer applications
  • Experience in traffic and logistics management

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in construction material management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and materials management systems (such as BPS)
  • Familiarity with Min-Max inventory controls, consignment agreements, and on-site service contractors
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 45
  • CPPS certification through the National Property Management Association (NPMA)

Job Responsibilities

  • Direct the physical count and inspection of arriving materials
  • Oversee the preparation and review of purchase orders, commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading
  • Review Material Receiving Reports (MRRs) for accuracy and timeliness
  • Audit material management data for accuracy and generate reports to illustrate key metrics
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of unsatisfactory over, short, and damaged material conditions
  • Supervise storage operations and ensure materials are properly recorded in storage systems
  • Oversee physical inventories to ensure accurate and valid records
  • Participate in the project materials protection program
  • Maintain custody of project materials and manage surplus materials disposal
  • Prepare shipping documents for materials leaving temporary sites
  • Develop jobsite instructions for material management tasks
  • Administer tool crib inventory, including data entry into the tool management system
  • Support property control programs and ensure compliance with property management policies
  • Prepare construction equipment inspection reports and maintain equipment registers
  • Complete tasks related to receipt inspection and supplier quality assurance
  • Ensure compliance with government property management regulations and requirements


Pay Details: $31.00 to $42.00 per hour
